Trees are the lungs of our planet, providing oxygen, cleaning the air, and supporting life on Earth. Join us in our mission to create a greener, healthier world through tree planting initiatives.
Learn MoreTrees are vital for human well-being and environmental health. They clean our air by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen, provide habitat for countless species, prevent soil erosion, and mitigate climate change effects.
Beyond their environmental benefits, trees enhance our quality of life, improve mental health, increase property values, and create spaces for recreation and community gathering. They are truly remarkable organisms that connect us to nature and provide essential ecosystem services.
A single mature tree can absorb up to 48 pounds of carbon dioxide per year
Trees can reduce urban air temperatures by up to 25%
Trees can increase property values by up to 80%
Trees provide habitat for over 100 species of wildlife
Planting a tree is a gift to future generations. Follow these simple steps to ensure your tree thrives:
Select a native species that's adapted to your local climate and soil conditions. Consider the mature size of the tree and ensure it has enough space to grow.
Dig a hole 2-3 times wider than the root ball but only as deep as the root ball. Loosen the soil around the edges of the hole to allow roots to penetrate easily.
Place the tree in the hole, making sure the trunk flare (where the trunk expands at the base) is slightly above ground level. Remove any burlap, wire, or containers from the root ball.
Fill the hole with the original soil, gently tamping down to remove air pockets. Create a water basin around the tree and water thoroughly to settle the soil.
Apply 2-4 inches of mulch around the tree, keeping it 2-3 inches away from the trunk. Mulch helps retain moisture and suppress weeds.
Water regularly during the first two years, especially during dry periods. Prune only dead or damaged branches for the first few years.
Discover how tree planting initiatives have transformed communities and environments around the world:
After our community planted 500 trees along the riverbank, we've seen a 30% reduction in soil erosion and the return of several bird species that had disappeared from our area.
The school tree planting program has not only beautified our campus but has created outdoor classrooms where students learn about biology, ecology, and environmental stewardship firsthand.
Our urban forestry initiative has planted over 10,000 trees in inner-city neighborhoods. Residents report feeling more connected to nature, and we've measured a 5-degree reduction in summer temperatures.
Every tree planted makes a difference. Join our growing community of tree enthusiasts and become part of the solution to climate change and environmental degradation.
